This is Clancy Metzger. She is our creator and author, so we wouldn’t be here without her. She’s a good sort and everyone in the Hollow is very fond of her. We are certainly glad that she found our quaint village worthy of an entire book series. We’ve always felt Hartwood Hollow had many tales to tell. But, let me tell you about her right now.

Clancy grew up in Oregon and Alaska and she has many interesting anecdotes from her time in the ‘Land of the Midnight Sun’. She has lived in many places all over the United States and has visited several foreign countries (her favorite so far is New Zealand). Clancy has two grown children and one terrific grandson, Ian, and you may not believe the coincidence, but her kids’ names are Ronnie and Max too.

Strange huh? Clancy also loves to read, watch movies and play games. She’s also pretty smart. She has both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree. She’s really funny too; she told me how she’s always loved writing and her big dream is to be a full time author so that she can work from home wearing her pajamas with her dog, Onyx, sitting on her feet. He’s a silly little dog but boy is she crazy about him.
